Summary
Each group will have 10 minutes to sell their roller coaster proposal to the owners of Jennywood.
Your presentation should include:
A drawing of your roller coaster.
Results of your calculations of the speed of the roller coaster in two places.
Tables showing two years of two different payment plan options.
Remember, you should be persuasive as well as informative in your presentation.
Choose one or more of the following ways to present your information:
Oral Presentation
PowerPoint Presentation
A webpage
Posters
A model of your roller coaster
Podcast a simulation of your roller coaster
Remember that your group portfolio and your individual journals are due at the time of your presentation.
Portfolio
Your portfolios are due at the same time that you present to the owners of Jennywood. Your portfolio should include:
A scale drawing of your roller coaster.
Calculations of the speed of your roller coaster at two points.
Two tables showing payments and remaining balance for at least the first two years of payments. Vary the down payment or the interest rate for your payment schedules.
Your completed KWL charts.
A paragraph from each group member summarizing what you learned during this NetQuest.
If you are interested in exploring roller coasters up close, talk to your teacher about a field trip to a local amusement park.
